Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Filljar website and apps operated by Filljar Private Limited. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them. They are published in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

What Filljar does

For Food Delivery, Filljar is a marketplace: restaurants listed on Filljar prepare and sell the food, and Filljar arranges ordering, payment collection and delivery. For Grocery, items are sold by Filljar Retail from Filljar-operated stores. For Printing & Photocopy, Filljar Retail prints your file at a Filljar print hub and delivers it or keeps it ready to collect. For Parcel Delivery, Filljar picks up your item and delivers it within the city. The seller of each order is shown on the order page and on the invoice.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older and use a mobile number you own.
  • Keep access to your number and devices secure. You are responsible for orders placed from your account.
  • We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse of riders or staff, or repeated refusal of cash on delivery orders.

Orders, prices and fees

  • Prices are set by restaurants (Food Delivery) or Filljar Retail (Grocery, Printing & Photocopy). Packaged goods show MRP, net quantity and unit price as required by law.
  • Before you place an order you see every charge: item total, delivery fee based on distance, platform fee, packaging, any high demand fee, taxes, discounts and tip. There are no hidden charges.
  • The minimum order value and the cash on delivery limit are shown at checkout.
  • An order is confirmed when we show you an order number. We may cancel an order if an item is unavailable or the address cannot be served, with no charge to you.
  • Delivery times are estimates based on preparation, distance and traffic. We update them live if a stage runs late.

Payment

Cash on delivery is available today, up to the limit shown at checkout. Parcel Delivery is paid in cash to the rider at pickup, not at the door. Online payment methods will be offered through a licensed payment gateway and are marked coming soon until then. Share the delivery code with the rider only when your order arrives.

Fair use

  • Do not misuse coupons, create multiple accounts for offers, or place orders you do not intend to accept.
  • Do not copy, scrape or interfere with the platform, or try to access data that is not yours.
  • Treat riders, restaurant staff and support teams with respect.

Responsibility

Restaurants are responsible for the preparation, quality and labelling of the food they sell, including allergen information. Filljar is responsible for delivery, for Grocery items and Printing & Photocopy orders sold by Filljar Retail, and for Parcel Delivery. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please raise any complaint through Grievance Redressal first. Courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or on the website. Orders already placed follow the terms in force when they were placed.
